Low watt pump
I’m looking for low watt pumps, line AC most of the time with solar inverter AC power during outages. Minimum power consumption is the goal. As planned, the system will be ½ “copper pipe, drainback to 10G atmospheric pressure tank, head to collector 6’.The second loop is the HX in drainback tank to 80G storage, head from storage to drainback tank HX is 9’. I’m looking at Taco 007 1/25hp at 80w.I would like a lot lower consumption. How can I get there? Any suggestion would be great.

Only Friction Head on Second Loop
On the second loop, you don't need a pump with 9' head capability. That loop is full of water all the time and it's at city pressure. So you just need to overcome the friction head at a flowrate of 1-3gpm.
This pump is worth looking at for the second loop because it only pulls 9W :

Low watt pump 12v
Those 12v low use pumps look good. Could be wired directly (through controller) to bat bank with reasonable gauge wire. Now I understand about head and friction head which means designing for lowest energy use is more doable.0 -
more on low energy pumps
Does anyone know were “sun-pump.com”went? I can’t seem to access the site.
Low consumption 12v small size hot fluid pumps seemed just right. Any ideas on another maker of a pump with spec like theirs.
12 to 24 v dc @ .8 amps 2.6 gal per minute, max lift 7’6” or 1.2 amp for 9’ 11” lift.0 -
several choices
March, ElSid, B&G/ Laing. the B&G Laing is a very nice, high efficiency pump, 8-30V I believe.Bob "hot rod" Rohr
