Looking for a steam pro in The Bronx

Options
I have an approx 50 yr old GM Delco steam boiler/oil fired/one pipe system.

Can't afford to replace it at this time.........looking to keep it alive for the time being.

I'd like to consult w/ a steam pro that could "tune up" the system. Major issue now is that I

must add water daily.......perhaps a clogged/leaking return?

Located in the east Bronx

Thanks for any assistance!

    From what I have seen

J Star may be your best bet.

    gm steamer

while you are waiting for the pro, try to find out where the water is going.

can you see steam coming from the chimney?

can you overfill the boiler, while cool, and let it sit overnight. check the firebox for drips in the morning.

a plugged return will slow down the water coming back, but it appears in your case that the water has disappeared.--nbc

    Pros

JStar is ecuacool, in Rahway, NJ. I'm not sure if he covers NYC, but you can ask.

You could also try Gateway Plumbing and Heating.
