I have had some Munchkin heat exchanger failures in the t80m's. I am in a situation where I have to replace a failed Munchkin with another Munchkin and would like to know anyone has experience with the Firetube by Munchkin and if it is more or less durable/reliable than to current Elite which has the same heat exchanger as the t80m's. Thanks for your input.

EliteFT
The EliteFT is a brand new product.
I doubt there is really any history yet.
I have sold the Munchkin and Elite boilers for years. Most of the problems were related to the install.
I would go with the fire tube in a second.

Firetube no doubt
We have had to replace several munchies that have Giannoni hx in them. We always push for the upgrade to the FT boiler. Just the heatx change makes the world of difference. I am assuming this is a warranty replacement? The upgrade charge is not that much compared to the increased longevity and less cleaing requirements. Good luck Tim
Side note: our Munchkin rep pretty much stopped stocking the giannoni unit and only has FT style now in stock, that say's something right there. I am doing one today!0
