Trouble shooting a weil mclain VHE-4 LP boilerFrom cold start the boiler runs till it gets to about 120 degrees.

then shuts down, relights after 30 seconds, runs for a minute, shuts down, and continues this cycle.

I saw once when it shut down that the red light flashed on the white rodgers model 50E47-150 control.

Any help would be greatly apprieciated

    Could be the Electrode

    I had one that did that....but it always started at 160 degrees. There was a crack or separation inside the porcelain insulator that holds the electrode (next to the pilot). Presuming a spark ignitor; I would replace the pilot assembly.
