The power running to my burner comes off the panel and then to a ceiling junction box.
Armored cable comes out of the junction box and down to the burner and a two
outlet (120V) box with a switch. When the switch is off the burner does not run.
There is a second cable out of the ceiling junction box that runs to a red square box (about 6" square) also mounted to the ceiling. The red box has what looks like large black button in the center.
- Is this an emergency switch ? If so, how is it different from the other switch by the two outlets?
or
- Is it some sort of reset ?
thanks,

electrical
it is a 4" square thermal switch for the unit's electrical. It is spring loaded, and soldered. In case of fire or extreme heat, it will disconnect. It is not a reset0
