Honeywell Relay

We're trying to find out where to get a Honeywell Relay, model # RA89C 1007. It's for the burner of a natural-gas-fired residential steam boiler.

Is there a replacement for it that doesn't require any wiring modification?

Thank you for any info you can provide.

    relay

What makes you think the relay is bad? Just asking because you're asking an very elementary question about a simple device. If you're a homeowner I would suggest getting profession help. Messing with burner controls can be dangerous.

Just in case the current one goes bad.

A few years ago this relay was fried because of a flood in basement. The city has since changed the sewer pipes so no more flooding. But the serviceman from National Grid had a rough time locating a new relay.

Now we recently had yearly inspection from National Grid and the guy points to the relay and said they don't make those anymore. He also said that if that relay goes bad you have to replace the whole burner.

We thought is would be a good idea to get a spare relay just in case something went wrong with the current one.

    Discontinued

It was discontinued a long while ago, it's replacement is the R8845U1003.

But it's not an easy DIY swap, wiring, terminals and function has changed.
