Janitrol Gravity Hot-Water Boiler Failed. Why?

JANITROL Natural Gas Boiler Model # 5-480 will not 'kick in'. It has a Honeywell TypeV 81-E Combi control. Pilot light ignites...but only after holding in the button for about 2 minutes. Then when thermostat is turned up on the 1st floor...the pilot light goes out and no main burner flame ignites. Have tried to ignite/start this Gravity Hot Water Boiler 5 times in last 2 hours, but no luck. QUESTION: What has failed? Any ideas or solution much appreciated. Tom
