I have a NOTOIL Gas Boiler - SN 40281 Model 9N4 Mfgd by Bryant Cleveland, Heater & Mfg Co. I am searching for the net IBR or Gross Btu Input

Well, I guess the post title says it all. The model numbers go not by the number of sections but by the number of burners.
If you go to something like the Beacon Boiler cross reference, DON'T USE THE LISTED EDR IN SQUARE FEET! You'll be grossly oversized. They used a bizarre AGA correction factor from the period and added it to the EDR, not the boiler's BTU output. This overstates the EDR by 50% in most cases.
Once we identify the actual series of boiler (I know the model 443's were labeled "Notoil"), we can un-correct their EDR and recorrect for I=B=R ratings and determine gross input and output.
Of course, it might be simpler to survey the actual radiation.Terry T
