Choosing one Boiler Manufacturer over another

I'm not replacing my boiler but am curious if there are significant diferences between manufactures of steam boilers and how/why you would select one over another...
That is to say, is Weil McLain really any different from Peerless, or Burnham, or New Yorker or Buderus?
Or is it just a personal preference thing? I think I would favor Weil McLain solely because that is what I have had in every house I've ever lived in....and I feel like that's what every house in New England has

The steam boiler that really stands out
is the Burnham MegaSteam. Hopefully, it will be cleared for use with gas burner soon, as well as oil.All Steamed Up, Inc.
