Should I shut off boiler while on vacation?

Hello,
We have a Burnham MegaSteam with an indirect tank for hot water. If we're going away for 10 days, does it make sense to shut off the boiler? Or is there some reason (listeria, for example) you wouldn't want the hot water to drop below a certain temperature?

I never have.
We'd never hear the end of it from the cats when we got back.
At this time of year it doesn't matter, but in the dead of winter you might have trouble with pipes freezing.Just another DIYer | King of Prussia, PA
