I have an old gas furnace.   When trying to turn in on for the season, it wouldnt light up.  I tried lighting the pilot but it wouldnt stay lit.  I checked the thermocouple.  It was burned out, so i replaced it.  THe pilot still will not stay on after releasing the pilot button.  Any other suggestions? What is the chance that the gas valve is bad also.  Thanks!
