Can anybody lead me in the right direction for finding a chamber kit for this boiler? Is a newer model compatible?

    I think Lynn makes one

which you can get from Sid Harvey or R.E. Michel. The kit would probably cover all the models in the 65 series.

    Ugh

Okay, here's my next question, with a little background

This boiler is 40 years old. The lady wants a quick and easy gas conversion. We've practically begged her to change the whole thing. No go. She's trying to sell her house quick. I tried to get information from Weil McLain, and they said that the boiler was never designed for natural gas. No kidding! I asked why...he said because that's how it was designed. Ugh!!

Is there a reason why a gas burner would not work in this boiler? I know it's probably never been tested.

    Apologize

Relate the results of the conversation with the manufacturer and walk away.

    Well

Instead of walking away, we're going to use this conversation to convince her to change the whole boiler.

    Put an EZ-Gas in it

and when that boiler goes, move the EZ-Gas to the new one.

    Agreed

That's why I love conversion burners. As a business owner, I get two jobs from the same boiler.
