Anyone know a gas burner approved for Burnham Megasteam?

Hi. I have a customer who has a Burnham Megasteam 629SL-sb 1.65 gph firing rate boiler. He wants to put on  a gas burner. I just got off the phone with Carlin and they said since its a postive overfire pressure boiler, it needs a welded flange which they have not made yet? has anyone done a conversion burner on one  of these yet?

Thanks

Joe

    read

You may want to start by reading the and o manual for the burnham mega steam...It clearly states, there position on converting from oil to gas.  Read page 4 warnings and you will find your answer...ja

    This keeps coming up

there has recently been a "changing of the guard" at Burnham, so their perspective has changed. I don't know anything specific, but do know they are now listening to us. Keep mentioning this when you talk to Burnham's people.

    interesting

Are you referring to the name Burnham to U S Boiler..I have attended several of there very recent info/training sessions and have not herd this...Like someone once said if it [aint] in writing you [aint[ got it..Last time I called to even ask, the tech guy referred me to that page and said if I even consider doing a conversion burner to take off the Burnham label and attaching part and seriel numbers...And put your own name on it....I got that....I understand the pros and cons but I always go by the book, on situations like this.  ja
