Does any one know how a desanco got its name?

    Okay the last five letters stand for sanitary connection.

    I wonder if the plastic drain pipe makers created it by having running threads on the tubing side of a trap adapter fitting, as opposed to tapered threads on iron pipe. Then eventually the name stuck and now its also in brass.

    And for the De, well that. What you have to know is the fitting was invented deep in Brooklyn.

    While in development someone asked what the new fitting was.

    The reply was " Dat's da new fittin' It's De-san co. Again the name stuck:)
