Keep Chimney?

I already put in a gas fireplace and gas on demand water heater. My last use for the fireplace was the boiler but am now putting in a mod/con boiler.
Is there any reason to keep the brick chimney going up the side of the house? I think Im going to take it down since the top section bricks are losing mortar and need repair.
