another problem with my baxi

I own a baxi luna comfort furnace I recently lost DHW and pressure. The burner would fire when called then go out . I cleaned the two filters at the inlet and with no change called a plumber. HE pulled out a green wire out of a sensor and the code E06 ( DHW NTC sensor fault ) appeared. The water ran hot, but the when the taps were closed the pressure built and the relief valve blew. He suggested I try to find out some answers on this site, for he does not install baxi.

What is the NTC sensor and does anyone think this is the problem ?
