new wet return finishes it up

I wanted to thank everyone on the wall for all your help over the last couple years. WIth the replacement of my wet return, I have finished my steam boiler rehab project and thought I'd post some pictures. It started with replacing a dead boiler and progressed through several stages of upgrading the system and correcting knuckle-heading (some unfortunately my own).

I replaced the entire wet return from drip connections to boiler. While I was at it, I added isolation valves to all my drips and the Gifford loop and added a hose bib at the far end of the return so that I can connect a hose and flush the horizontal run of the return. All the 90-degree turns are pivot joints to avoid stressing the joints as the pipes expand. I also rerouted the return to get rid of the pipe across the floor and added yet another mud leg to the return to capture sludge. (BTW, I used the valve'd mud leg I installed at the end of the main and it is doing it's job like a charm.) And finally I insulated much of the wet return (not all of it just yet, I basically just bought insulation until my budget was blown, I'll have to do the rest as there is cash).

I also ended up having to replace my sight glass because the nuts were so corroded and the glass was cracked. It took a lot of skimming to clear all the cutting oil, but it probably needs to be skimmed at least once more once the heating season starts. There is still some insulating to do and, of course, the annual maintenance, but this project is pretty much done and I couldn't have done it without you guys.

The end of main isn't in any of the pictures above, but you can see them in the links in the post.
