Problem with domestic coil HB Smith model 8

Hi,

The fitting on my HB SMITH boiler is leaking at the domestic coil.  It looks as if the fitting coming out of the coil is leaking-- the heating co. that performed the maintenance said that the fitting cannot be replaced without replacing the whole coil.

Is this fitting a part of the coil?  If so, is there a less expensive way to repair this leak or do I need to replace the whole coil?  If I can repair the fitting, does anyone know a good place to get HB SMITH boiler parts?

Would it be a better option to simply cap off the domestic coil and install an electric water heater?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Bill

    Got pictures???

Would help to see exactly where and how its leaking. May be repairable, may not.

It's not so much a case of "You got what you paid for", as it is a matter of "You DIDN'T get what you DIDN'T pay for, and you're NOT going to get what you thought you were in the way of comfort". Borrowed from Heatboy.
