Kohler large tube radiators

I have a single pipe steam system, but felt being these radiators could also be used for hot water I would post here. I noticed all of the sections of these Kohler radiators appear to have a number which looks like either 6 24 or 8 24 near the bottom.
What are the chances this is a manufacturing date? My guess was the central heat was installed in this house sometime in the 20s so that fits but for all I know this has nothing to do with it.
All opinions welcome!

Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.
