New Lynx Boiler Install - Install Hydraulic Separator?

Hi -

I'm going to have a Lynx LX-120 installed in my home. Per Slant-fins recommended installation instructions, it does not show a Hydraulic Separator...would it be advised to put one it? I modified the drawing because I have a separate water heater.

Thanks.

does not show a Hydraulic Separator.

There is a pair of closely-space-Ts that perform the same function. Some champion hydraulic separators instead. I (as a homeowner)  do not see much difference provided the piping is done correctly and is the right size.

It seems to me that in certain situations, an hydraulic separator might be easier to install (but in others, more difficult). This is especially true if you need an air extracting device and a dirt separator. You can get all these together as a single unit with good hydraulic separators. The labor might be cheaper using the separator. I do not know the labor costs. I know it took them only about 15 minutes to make my closely spaced Ts in 1 1/4 inch copper tubing. And less than that to add a fancy microbubble remover.
