Forced Hot Air question

Hi everyone. I have a concern and I hope someone can chime in.
My parents home is a two family house that heats uses forced hot air (gas).
My question is, when the heat is off (summer time) is the exhaust tube suppose to feel warm to the touch?
I am referring to the pipe or alumnium tube that connects the unit to outside the house.
Thanks in advance

Re: Forced Hot Air question
If the furnace has a standing pilot then it’s possible the pipe would be warm to the touch. It might not be a bad idea to have tech look at it so you can have the peace of mind that it’s nothing else. There was an error rendering this rich post.
