Liners for steam pipe

Are there any pipe re-lining systems for steam/condensate systems?

I am working on a project at a prison campus

Steam is distributed to all buildings

The pipe is quite old and failing

I was hoping someone knew of a product, and had some experience, with a reline system suitable for steam

Thanks

    Steam Pipe Liners

Hi Jac-  Welcome to "The Wall".   You might want to post your question on the Main Wall as this time of the year more of the pros hang out there. The Steam section is really busy in winter but in summer, rather slow.

holey pipes in the big house

is the system in operation now?  what sort of leaks are there:P [pipes, fittings, traps]? i would be worried that any sort of relining system might interfere with the condensate drainge, causing water-hammer. what range of pressures are in the system?

generally, steam and condensate pipes in a well-maintained system are remarkably rust-free, as all the oxygen has been driven out of the water.

    are you an engineer?--nbc
