Good Morning! I am looking into heating requirements needed for a radiant heated driveway. How do you calculate the heat loss for an outdoor mass such as this? While there is plenty out there about how wonderful they work, there is little out there regarding the energy demands. If it turns out to be feasible for me, i would be using an outside pellet boiler system to provide the heating needs Any constructive pointers or advice is welcome!
Thanks

What Climate
Are you in. Generally need 120 btu/hr per sqft in a 0 degree climate. How ma y sqft of of melt are you doing? That by the way is to get to a surface temp of around 37 degrees.
This should help and anwser your questions.
