Ive been installing hydronic heating for 28+ years and have a question for you wallies. Leave the PRV on or off? Ive seen houses flooded because of PRV's coming apart at the seams and seen boilers with no apparent leaks run out of water.... What are your thoughts, if any?

you mean...
a pressure reducing valve, with the boiler feed valve. I use a boiler feed with a backflow preventer, leave it closed, and install a lwco...always. I want them to call me if the system is leaking, rather then constanly feeding the boiler. There was an error rendering this rich post.
