My nephew recently graduated college and got a job in Conneticut. He bought a houes and wants to convert his oil fired boiler to natural gas. His home has gas that is already piped to the location and gas water heater. He has called several contractors and everyone has given him the song and dance about how hard a job it is. He was also informed Rhode Island contractors can't come to his state and do his job. I am located in Chicago but if I have to I will cruise out there and change out his boiler for him. Is there something about Conneticut that I need to know about? Please let me know.
Thanks

Are
you saying......converting the existing, or replacing the boiler?0 -
license
You do have to be licensed in CT to pull a permit.0 -
can you get
Pictures? maybe the other all job is a pain. where in connecticut? he's looking for a complete boiler change out? chimney lined or direct vent? asbestos anywhere? bulkhead or walkout or is through the house the only way?
licensed to work in ct all day everyday. nothing hard about it just have to put in the time on the job and in the classroom the state wants first, to be allowed to take the license tests.
and no a RI contractor can not legally pull permits in CT unless he also has a CT contractor license.0
