Kresky Wall Heater

The old Kresky wall heater in our cabin is blowing black soot. I would like to repair it, but I'm afraid of breaking parts and then not able to replace them. Is there a source for Kresky parts diagrams or repair manuals? I know the company is long gone, but I wold like to give it a try if possible. Thanks

    Old Wall Heaters:

    Time for  new one.

Take the cost of the unit when you bought it. Divide that amount by how many years it has been in operation. That's your cost per year. Is the life of you, your family or any friends you have at the cabin worth that? Be glad that the exhaust is black. If it was clear and full of CO, you could die.

Just because it used to work, doesn't mean that it should continue to work.

If you're "Off The Grid", they make battery ignited space and DHW heaters,
