Cast Iron Radiators Monoflo Tee Q

I have four cast iron radiators to supply bedroom heat---each has a 3/4" and 1/2"threaded access. Was thinking the 3/4" would be the supply, and use a monoflo T on the return? Or Reverse?? Thanks.

Above or below the main???
If rads are above the main, and are relatively low pressure drop, then one VT on the return will work. If high pressure drop (FCU) one on the supply and return. If below the main, then two VT's required (hot water wants to rise, and cold water wants to settle and YOU have to overcome these potentials).
MEIt's not so much a case of "You got what you paid for", as it is a matter of "You DIDN'T get what you DIDN'T pay for, and you're NOT going to get what you thought you were in the way of comfort". Borrowed from Heatboy.0 -
up or down
If the radiators are above the main than you may be able to use 1/2" or 3/4" dependent on the heat required. Above 17K 3/4" and below 17K 1/2". If the radiation is below the main do not use less than 3/4". Also follow ME's post.0
