Infloor PEX tubes at control joints

In a large commercial reinforced concrete slab on grade, the infloor tubing will be installed on top of the reinforcing. They will be cutting 2" down along the control joints. Do you do anything at these joints with the tubing (other than make sure they are deeper than 2")? Does the slab tend to crack the rest of the way through?
