Mod/cons and convectors

I have an established customer who is switching from oil to gas heat.
The existing radiation is cast iron convectors on a monoflow tee system. I wonder what is the minimum water temperature at which the convectors will produce heat? Is a mod/con boiler appropriate for the system?
