What's the BEST solution for this...

hook up. We are installing a Burnham MST 396 with an indirect HTP SuperStor 40 gallon indirect as soon as we can shut down for awhile. Here's my dilemma...maybe I'm researching too much, so I thought I'd ask. Burnham states to take the hot water from the top of the boiler to the indirect and return it to the bottom. Some boiler and tank manufacturer's show supplying from the bottom of the boiler and returning to the top of the boiler. From what I've read (even in heating help systems) there a few ways to do this, but I can't see the explanation for either way. What has me questioning all this is that the MST normal water level is within a few inches of the tapped outlet they say to install the indirect to. I just want to have the best system I can with what I have and don't want to redo it. Thanks, Joe

Because
Just like air, hot water will rise above cold.0 -
follow
the directions with the boiler. They put a lot of work in that boiler and the only time I've had an issue with it was when someone didnt follow their directions...0 -
As said go with Burnham's
instructions. They know their boiler best.Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.
