Friend of mine has W-M hot water boiler, about 20 yr old, he never noticed any water from overflow pipe til this yr, and now during warm spell, boiler not running as much, more so. What would be cause? He has baseboard hot water heat, and separate hot water heater. Boiler is gas-fired.

could be ...
as simple as a bad pressure relief valve or a waterlogged expansion tank. Or it could be a leaking coil (if a tankless) or a leaking coil in an indirect water heater..... or a fill valve that does not seat properly..... need more info.0
