put smaller gortons on the rads to slow up venting, disconnected the rad to the one cold tee, main is hot (where t is) 3 inches away from main its cold. Dont know what to try next. There is another T off hot main and that also is cold. Put gorton d (4 of them on riser) still cold. What next.

Something is keeping the steam
from reaching that point. Check for restrictions such as water pockets. Does the system bang when it's running? All Steamed Up, Inc.

there is no banging anywhere in the whole building. The main is hot, but where it tee's off,
it gets cold. There are two tee's off the main about 4 feet from the end of the run, I put 2 Gorton #2s on the end but still can't get those 2 tee's hot. 1 goes to a riser which feeds 3 rads. I slowed down all the other rads in building with smaller vents, but still not getting anywhere. Still stumped.
p.s. pitch is good, find no water pockets, I think its still air but dont know what to do next0 -

What radiators did you put slower vents on? What vents are you using? Please make a list of all radiators, the EDR of you have that, and what vent is on the radiator. It sounds like one of two possibilities... either you have too agressive of venting on some of the radiators in the system and they are hogging the steam, or on the riser that is remaining cold, there might be a horizontal section up above, say at the floor level of the second floor, that is not pitched properly and is setting full of water.Dave in Quad Cities, America
