Spa Heating and Automation Solutions

Hi, we are based in West Vancouver, BC, Canada.
We are installing a built-in concrete spa adjacent to our pool dimensions 10' x 6'.
The pool and house is currently heated via an IBC 150 servicing heat exchanger for pool, 5 x infloor heating zones, domestic hot water and radiators.
If we go with an electric spa heater e.g. Coates or Hayward, then the initial cost is at least 50% less than a gas alternative.
Next on the price scale, we could do a regular pool spa heater e.g. Pentair, Raypak etc.
Most expensive, we could also do a small condensing boiler and heat exchanger e.g. Naviens Combi. Other suggestions welcome.
It's important to us to control the spa temperature using our home automation system. We currently control the pool heat exchanger by using a Control4 thermostat with a temperature probe in the heat exchanger well.
We could control the electric heater with a simple on/off relay via Control4, but no temperature control.
To control the Pentair or other pool/spa heaters seems to require a horrendously expensive controller. I really just want to control the on/off and the temperature set point.
If we go with the small condensing boiler and heat exchanger option, it should be able to be controlled exactly as my current pool heating set up.
Suggestions most welcome...
