Winkler Oil fired Boiler

I just bought a home. The heat is a Winkler Oil fired boiler. Not running.

Boiler # CIC-$

Serial # E-13428

123,000 BTU hr. water

Does any one know where I can get an owners manual, or operators instruction booklet??

    Pics will help

chances are the burner is not the original low pressure burner, and has been upgraded.

    Winkler Boiler/Burner:

And if it is still the Winkler Low Pressure burner, it will be fun at the old fun house today or soon.

If it is a LP, change it as soon as you can. Let her go run with the pack of old canines.

    I remember those Winklers

a very nice, durable, low-pressure pre-mixing burner design. I wonder what we could achieve with their low-pressure system and a flame-retention burner head?

If that is a Winkler low-pressure burner, please don't scrap it! Take some pictures and post them, we can tell you what it is.

    Also, where are you located?

I'll try to get a couple pictures in a day or two. Yes the burner has been changed. It looks like it was changed a long time ago. lol The burner is outside of the furnace. I know nothing about these furnaces. I bought the house and it was there. Are they steam heat or hot water? The pipes look like they are kinda heavy pipes, that is why I was thinking steam.

    Thanks,
