where's the water
are you able to get the boiler waterline up to the hartford loop? any disappearing water above ground must show its face somewhere. could there be another section of the return leaking underground? are you sure the water is flowing? maybe the sight-glass is full of clean water, and looks empty.--nbc0 -
and . . .
make sure the valves on the sight glass are both open. Then make sure the ports from the sight glass into the boiler are not blocked by sludge.

wwater shows up in glass, then quickly goes down. my basement has three parts and didnt have access to one, but will today. Maybe thats where I will find a leaking piece of return line. Thanks for your help.0
