the hydronic insert for fireplaces?
I remember those from years ago. Built by Ridgway Steel in PA I think? Here is a link to the original design, installation and patent info.

Hyrdo Hearth
To all those interested in the Hydro Hearth, I have a unit in my Home that is functional and is working like a charm. 14 degrees outside I am at a steady 72.5 degrees inside.
Had this unit installed in 1978, Needed to be re-engineered and now is functioning automatically, with my home heating furnace. Installed an aquastat on the unit and it comes on and off automatically.
