Water Temp / Boiler Plugging

Was reading the instruction manual for the Pensotti DK boiler. There is a note that states:<span style="font-size:12pt">
Allowing the water temperature in the boiler to drop below 160 degrees F for an extended period of time can cause corrosion and boiler plugging. </span>
Are we shortening the life of three pass boilers by using ODR with a low limit less than 160? Will coldstarting boilers plug them up? After all, tests have shown...

doesn't add up. That may be a misprint. 160F is pretty high by Euro heating standards.0
