in THE MAIN WALL
Anyone have experience with troubleshooting these?

I put one in yesterday, its locking out, e3, abnormal combustion .

It lites off and surges then drops out.

    gas pressure

    Check your incoming gas pressure, Eternals are very finicky like an old cat!

    They need to ....

    be set up w/ a digital manometer and and combustion analyzer. Even then they do take some time to set up. Did you do that?

    I have 8-9" wc incoming , it dives to 5-6" on ignition. Then it surges and my gauge gos nuts.

    It turns out eternal sells a 'rough start kit'.

    It consists of a bushing that gos into the air intake elbow and a modified gas pipe from the gas valve to the burner assembly.

    Thanks to somone at the local water heaters only, I was able to get my hands on the kit on a saturday.

    I put the kit in and she fired right up. Kicker is it really screwed up the o2/co2/co, couldn't get it near spec.
