Why would i have to keep hitting the reset on my 8184 control?

I would start with a servicing if it has been a year or more. That should eliminate most of the common causes0 -
what could be the cause?
Was completely serviced 4 months ago0 -
One Reason:
The number one reason I have found is that the control doesn't "see" a flame.0 -
8184 resets
plugged pump strainer & or filter= restricted fuel supply = crappy flame= safety shutdown..as it should.0 -
More reasons:
No spark, poor spark, grounding spark, ad nauseum.0 -
Restricted
filter and or strainer caused by running out of oil.0 -
I would
start by calling back the service personnel. You shouldn't have to trouble shoot for them either. If they are not qualified, then, check on here for a contractor near you. Not all problems can be resolved one stop, but anything and everything should be tested and checked.0
