How to drain water from the glass tube on a Weil-McLain Gold Oil Burner?

Hi,
I just happened to see that the glass water level tube on my boiler is maxed out. I can't figure out a way to lower the water level. I've called a couple of plumbers but not heard back, and I'm afraid to let the boiler run at all, but I also don't want my pipes to freeze. Can anyone help me figure out how to do this?
Thanks for any help,
