Hot water boiler replacement-with old cast iron radiators-2 pipe

2 story home-2nd floor radiators hot-first floor cold?

system has taco 007 pump

Suggestions?

larger pump?

best way to bleed?

thought air normally went to highest point?second floor

each radiator has manual air evtn-bleed not alot of air there!

    Well...

    If you don't get air, but water, then its not an air problem. It's a flow or balance problem.



    Is this a new system converted from gravity?



    If so, look for restriction plates in the radiator valves on the second floor.



    If this is not a new system, probably a bad pump, or no power to the pump.

    When

    you re-filled the system, did you bleed from the 2nd floor first?
