Use the Heat only....
version w/ an indirect or a booster tank w/ a bronze/ss circulator or pipe it through a 20/40 gallon electric to give you a head start.0 -
the combi is existing
I don,t see why i can,t use an indirect0 -
I suppose....
you could. It is just a shame to not use the coil that is in the unit. I did not realize this was an existing set up.0 -
Storage Tank
No need for an indirect. Dump DHW to a storage tank. Boiler is equiped with a hx for dhw. There was an error rendering this rich post.

Thanks Chris
I did look at that, but there is an unused indirect on site so I gave them number for, primary secondary pumping, 2 new circulators with DHW priority.0 -
My concern is
Making the DHW Hx redundant . Is it safe to leave open ends, it does not seem safe to cap them. With no pressure on the domestic side could the boiler water ever Leak through the brased plate Hx .0 -
I seem to remember
Doing this with combi boilers but that was 20+ years ago and I am sure things have changed alot since then. Anyone have any recent experience? Thanks.0 -
