can these be used with an indirect. the DHW demand is too high.

    Use the Heat only....

    version w/ an indirect or a booster tank w/ a bronze/ss circulator or pipe it through a 20/40 gallon electric to give you a head start.

    you could. It is just a shame to not use the coil that is in the unit. I did not realize this was an existing set up.

    Storage Tank

    No need for an indirect. Dump DHW to a storage tank. Boiler is equiped with a hx for dhw.

    I did look at that, but there is an unused indirect on site so I gave them number for, primary secondary pumping, 2 new circulators with DHW priority.

    My concern is

    Making the DHW Hx redundant . Is it safe to leave open ends, it does not seem safe to cap them. With no pressure on the domestic side could the boiler water ever Leak through the brased plate Hx .

    Doing this with combi boilers but that was 20+ years ago and I am sure things have changed alot since then. Anyone have any recent experience? Thanks.
