They didn't take any before pictures

but it was that gasketed boiler thats so popular and the gaskets were toast..there was a literal river running across the floor to the drain..they were adding water every couple hours..no underground returns or anything..we put on a digital vxt so we can see whats going on..my gut says it was just time for the gaskets to go..around here we usually see the gaskets give it up around twenty one years..sad..but at least the replacement has cast iron push nipples.

    2 pressure controllers

Noob questions- why two pressure controls?

Is the gauge 0-30 or something smaller?

    Thanks.

    the gauge is the standard

0-30 that comes with the boiler..and the pressuretrol is acting as a feeder interrupter switch, the power does weird things around here, and there is a magical voltage that causes the circuit boards to feed..crappy overhead power lines..the true limit switch is the vaporstat.

    Boiler

Great work Gerry, is your connection tying into the Bull of the Tee on the existing main? do you see any conflict there w/steam entering the bull?

    note in this case,

as the takeoff is going out at 3'' and that tee is 4''..works well in this system.
