I have a Thermo Dynamics S series boiler with a huge crack in the back of the chamber. I have never had to replace one of these chambers. Is it possible to replace the chamber from the front or do I have to take the boiler apart and buy a new bottom portion. Or just replace the whole boiler. It's around 12 years old and other than the chamber its in good shape.

those are fun
I have installed dozens of those boilers. A very good steel boiler. To replace the chamber, you have to lift the water jacket off of the base. The front has an access panel, but it's not that easy. I would line it with a Lynn wet liner. If it hasn't burnt thru, just get it some protection. I would say that at that age, it may not be worth the price of the chamber and all that labor.0
