Vintage 1979 Van Wert Furnace

Model: Simplex Multi-Therm OCF-120 & HF-120



I've been fighting with this furnace/boiler for the last couple of years and in these late rounds (and cold days of December) I'm starting to lose my mind. I'm hoping someone might have some information about this unit (owners manual, schematics).



From what I understand Van Wert closed down in the 90's, and unfortunately that was before companies posted all manuals / info on the internet. So in this last ditch effort I am hoping someone would have some knowledge on this antique. If you do, and respond I will go into further detail about what the issues are at hand.     You are in luck

    Call Arnie Huntley at 315-653-7883.  He can cast Van Wert parts and has plenty on hand.  He can also walk you through the adjustments on your unit.  If he asks how you got the number, tell him Rob Roy gave it to you.



    I assume you are running the Simplex on coal and not fuel oil?  What

    issues are you having?  I run an EFM stoker, but many of the principles

    are the same.
