return drip

I have asked questions about adding 10 ft of 1-1/4 steel fin baseboard to a one pipe steam system on the second floor. After much research and all of your input I now know I should have a return drip tying into the wet return in the basement. My question now is can I use 3/4 pex back under the baseboard and then down to the return

Pex?
Pex is not rated for the possible temperatures of the condensate.0
