Hey, I am currently reading "Greening Steam" which is not only informative, but interesting and fun too. So far I've done a few things that have helped.
I am still wondering why the radiators click (first tube/valve area) when the heat turns on after they have been cold. It's not so bad but at 4 in the morning can be a nuisance.
Thanks

could be a...
few things. More often that not it is normal expztion from cast iron goins from 65f to 240f in a few seconds. Could be a small puddle of water that hammers a little or it could be that the valve seat is not 100% open and it causes a bit of restriction... What is your pressure set at?0 -
Pressure, Valves, etc.
Main is 1.5 Diff is 1 (i learned that from dan's book)
until 2 days ago it was set to Main 5 Diff 1.5
that was the setting since the boiler was installed 2 years ago
valves are totally open (as much as i can turn it) and the radiators work well
Thanks0
