Aaahh...
that would be a no. Best bet is to pull the riser pipe out of the fitting below and put in a longer nipple. of cut and re-thread a nipple in. Not so simple.0 -
Use a pipe extension
A pipe extension piece may help. If it's too tall, you may have to support the radiator up higher. Hardwood flooring is about 3/4". This thing might extend you about 1-1.5" depending on the pipe size.0 -
Aaahh
Thank you , I knew it couldn't be that easy! I was hoping, the riser is between my ceiling and the floor ,Not looking forward to this project, but it must be done .Thanks Again jarv.0 -
pipe extension
Thank you for your input.0 -
How about
Take the valve off the riser, then use a 1" nipple extension. Also known as a street coupler or a pipe stretcher. Search the wall for street coupler for more information.0 -
1 in pipe nipple
Thank you for your help ,this would be alot easier !! jarv.0 -
try this
How about an extension coupler. Go to your plumbing supply house and ask for one. I had the same problem when i retiled my master bathroom. It worked for me.0 -
Can the radiator be slip away from the valve?
If you have room you can remove the Spud from the radiator and use 2 street 45's to off set down to the valve height if the extension is too long.Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.
