radiator pipes

just added a new hardwood floor,now the radiator is to high to connect . Do they make a braided flex hose/ fitting for steam that i could use?

    that would be a no. Best bet is to pull the riser pipe out of the fitting below and put in a longer nipple. of cut and re-thread a nipple in. Not so simple.

    Use a pipe extension

    A pipe extension piece may help.  If it's too tall, you may have to support the radiator up higher. Hardwood flooring is about 3/4". This thing might extend you about 1-1.5" depending on the pipe size.

    Thank you , I knew it couldn't be that easy! I was hoping, the riser is between my ceiling and the floor ,Not looking forward to this project, but it must be done .Thanks Again jarv.

    How about

    Take the valve off the riser, then use a 1" nipple extension.  Also known as a street coupler or a pipe stretcher.  Search the wall for street coupler for more information.

    How about an extension coupler. Go to your plumbing supply house and ask for one. I had the same problem when i retiled my master bathroom. It worked for me.

    Can the radiator be slip away from the valve?

    If you have room you can remove the Spud from the radiator and use 2 street 45's to off set down to the valve height if the extension is too long.
