Hawks are smart. This pair lives in WA. Sq. Park and last year maintained a nest on the ledge of the office of the president of NYU..You may have seen the webcam. Pigeons or seagulls that perch on the top of the vents, often succumb to CO poisoning. Glad some cool critters can use the heat during the cold winters!
