Lochinvar Knight KBN080 gurgling noise

I have a Lochinvar Knight KBN080 which was installed last fall. It works fine but makes a ridiculously loud gurgling noise, especially when it first starts running. It has a supplemental pump. I feel like I'm living in a houseboat. Any ideas?

    Sounds like

    Air in the system.

    Is the cap on the automatic air vent loose...

    under the cover of the boiler? If not, loosen it.
